THIRD ANNUAL PA EMS MEMORIAL BIKE RIDE
Sponsored and produced by the Pennsylvania EMS Provider Foundation, this 3 day bicycle cycling event is meant to honor and memorialize the lives Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Service Providers who have died in the line of duty. Participate for a single day or all 3. Riders are fully supported with snacks, lunch, and support vehicles.
You can support the riders through sponsorship of rest stops, meals, donations of food or any combination.
Beginning in the Laurel Highlands at the Flight 93 Memorial Park and concludes on the steps of our Harrisburg Capital Complex.
The Eighth Annual Pennsylvania EMS Memorial Service will be held beginning at 1:00 pm on September 10, 2018. All EMS Agencies from across the Commonwealth are invited to demonstrate the EMS community’s solidarity by displaying an Emergency Vehicle (ambulance, squad unit, or supervisor’s vehicle with EV plates) as, together, we honor and remember EMS providers lost in the line of duty. The Second Annual PA EMS Memorial Bike Ride will be ending their trek from Shanksville at the Memorial Service.
The Department of Health, Bureau of EMS, PEMA and other administrative dignitaries are invited to speak.
If you are interested in riding or providing support for the ride, you can register here:
Each year, the Foundation honors outstanding EMS providers from across the Commonwealth who have been nominated by their EMS Agency. The evening's event highlights the outstanding work these EMS providers have contributed to the EMS Community and is an opportunity for every EMS agency to honor one or more of their staff.
In addition, the dinner is the time that we celebrate the recipients of the Foundation grant program. EMTs who wish to further their career in EMS by becoming a paramedic, apply through an application process for grants. The Foundation has awarded over $35,000 in grants to Pennsylvania providers.
Registration to attend the dinner and to nominate a star of life will be available in the near future.
